Engaging Our Heritage

There are many ways to discover, explore, interpret and experience the heritage of the Fredericton area. One of the best ways of doing this is to see first hand the buildings, streets, neighbourhoods and landscapes that over time have interwoven to become the rich tapestry of our city and the capital region.

To this end, the Trust and other local organisations have developed a number of self-directed walking tours and similar excursions in various formats, presenting information (mostly factual, and some fanciful) on aspects of our past, providing the chance for locals and visitors to encounter face to face the people and places that have played a part in our community’s history and development. (There may be some overlap and “discrepancies” in and between the various tours and formats.)
