York Street Audio Tour - St. Paul's United Church

At the south-east corner of George and York Streets is St. Paul's United Church. It was designated as a National Historic Site in 1990. It was earlier known as St Paul’s Presbyterian Church. The prominent Nova Scotian architect James Charles Philip Dumaresq (1844 to 1906) designed the church in High Victorian Gothic Revival Style. It was dedicated in 1886. Citizens today appreciate the stonework, the large rose window and other architectural features.
