325/327 George Street & 329 George Street

325/327 George Street & 329 George Street

Typical of "middle class" residential construction of the mid-19th century, these neighbouring houses are similar in proportion but slightly different in their details. 325/327 George Street with its shallower roof (and its 1980’s shed dormer addition) is almost devoid of details - except the angled side panels and delicate brackets/entablature of the entry, while 329 George Street is slightly further elaborated with its more integral shed dormer, contrasting corner and frieze boards, massive scrolled entry brackets and intricate transom glazing.
