882 George Street

Blacksmith Enoch Bradley leased this lot in 1853 and probably built this unpretentious house soon after for his wife Mary Ann and their large family (his 1853 account book was found amongst other papers when renovation work was done in the house in the late 1980’s). The house was actually two structures (back and front) and the exterior walls of both can be clearly seen looking through the opening to the attic. The interior features low 6-foot ceilings in the back older portion and various fine woods used throughout.
