York Street Train Station
Although "protected" from demolition by federal designation under the Heritage Railway Stations Protection Act, there is no obligation for the owners to reinstate the building to a useable state. As a result of being unoccupied for approximately 10 years, the building has been allowed to deteriorate to the extent that the roof structure and other wood constructions have decayed, opening the door for further deterioration of the entire structure.

McFarlane-Neill Building
The City of Fredericton has taken the position that this building - one of the oldest industrial buildings in the city and one of the few brick buildings in Devon - should be demolished to allow for a truck turning lane. The City has already expropriated the building, and it is believed that tenders for demolition have been called, meaning the building could be gone by spring 2008.
